The Salvation Army Partners With the Lloyd Center for Skate With The Grinch Event

The Salvation Army seeks to raise $500,000 in Portland Metro for their neighbors in need

(Portland, Oregon) November 20, 2021 –The Salvation Army is partnering with the Lloyd Center on November 27th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. for a Skate With The Grinch event at the Lloyd Center. A portion of ticket sales will go to support The Salvation Army. Information about purchasing tickets can be found at lloydcenter.com

The Salvation Army has a goal of raising $500,000 this Christmas season through red kettles to help local families in need.

The Red Kettle tradition started 128 years ago and continues today as an easy way for people to help others in need. Your donation at any of our Red Kettles across the Portland Metro area is essential to funding our programs to serve those in need at Christmas and year-round.

The Red Kettle Campaign officially started on November 20th and Red Kettles will be located at many local retail sites through Christmas Eve. For those that might not have cash handy, donations to the Red Kettle Campaign can also be made online at RedKettlePortland.org

From its humble origin as a fundraiser started by a Salvation Army captain in San Francisco in 1891, the Red Kettle Campaign has grown into one of the most recognizable and important charitable campaigns in the United States.
